Hanokh Hiwale

Co-Founder · CEO

Hanokh has always been passionate about bringing people together, solving problems, and turning ideas into something meaningful. With an MBA and a background in healthcare operations, business development, and leadership, he brings both strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to EVIE.

For Hanokh, EVIE is about more than building electric mobile businesses. It's about creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, supporting local communities, and making business ownership more accessible. He believes that great businesses are built through strong relationships, creative thinking, and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Outside of work, Hanokh enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring the outdoors, fishing, and getting involved in his West Michigan community.

Steven Poelman

Co-Founder · CMO

Raised as a missionary kid, Steven grew up with a love for culture and the connections food creates. With a background in hospitality management and studies in business management, he believes local businesses have already built something great. Through EVIE, he wants to help take those businesses—and the flavors they create—to the next level while preserving what makes them unique.

Steven’s vision is to bring electric mobile kitchens into Grand Rapids’ next chapter. As new destinations draw more people into the city, EVIE aims to help businesses reach customers where they gather—bringing more flavors, cultures, and opportunities to the streets of Grand Rapids.
